Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for the standard reports that are produced for both internal and external parties.  They will need to understand the Corporate Data Model and be able to discuss business information needs with both business and technical staff in this context.  This individual will be required to complete ad hoc data requests as required by various business units. They will also have the opportunity for project planning, requirements gathering, testing, training, trouble shooting, and deployment activities.  This individual will also have an impact by making recommendations for performance improvements for subject areas under study.  
 

  • With moderate supervision, analyze business processes, design or modify procedures so as to improve efficiency and obtain the desired results. 
  • Analyze the needs of the company and users, document the business requirements to serve as the basis for systems' specifications.
  • To act as a liaison between the user community and various I.T. teams according to the identified steps in the Intact SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). Demonstrates domain knowledge in a business analysis practice. Working with the agile framework.
  • Write, review and recommend changes on documentation (business processes, system documentation and procedures) in order to facilitate users' training as well as the integration of new processes and technologies within current operations. 
  • Create, generate, validate and investigate the business intelligence reports based on the Intact standards.
  • Facilitate and present new technical solutions for improving processes by collaborating with the various I.T. functions and to act as a liaison between I.T. and end-users of various levels (of management) throughout the company.
  • Support and participate in the planning, designing, execution of tests cases.
  • Help the team estimate and plan the effort required and to deliver moderately complex projects.
What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis and Business Analysis.

  • Strong computer skills including Excel are essential and knowledge of data modeling

As an Intermediate Software Developer at Intact Public Entities, you will develop enterprise applications that serve our internal and external customers. SQL Developer is responsible for performing complex database related projects involving the design, analysis, development and implementation of SQL and database related projects. This role will be a data expert and lead database design, builds and deployment tasks and projects, focusing on analytics development and statistical modeling with high quality data handling techniques.

  • As an SQL Developer, you will develop MS-SQL queries and stored procedures, create custom reports, you will also be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
