Meet Andrew Koster:

Andrew Koster, MSW, RSW, is a Child Welfare Consultant and Trainer, and Past President of the Child Welfare League of Canada
Andrew is a long-time child welfare professional with 47 years' experience holding various roles from front line to administration. Andrew has written and assisted in curriculum development, and provided workshops on risk assessment, front-line and manager core training, sexual abuse investigation, treatment modalities, and stress management. Having twice been seconded to government, Andrew has engaged with Provinces (6), Territories (1), and child welfare agencies in writing reports; reviewing high profile child welfare cases; or providing child death reviews for the last 25 years. He has taught social work and child welfare courses in several schools of social work and authored and co-authored numerous articles including the use of the child wellbeing scales; qualitative outcome measurement; and the importance of positive relationships and counselling in child welfare.
