CAMBRIDGE, ON, October 24, 2023 – Intact Public Entities (IPE) has announced a new partnership with Natural Assets Initiative (NAI) to sponsor the Natural Asset Management Roadmap Program for municipalities in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. The program led by NAI, provides direction, support and guidance to local governments as they develop high-level plans to account for nature in their asset management strategies. IPE will sponsor municipal clients to participate in this highly beneficial program.

“Helping communities prosper in good times and be resilient in bad times is part of who we are. The proper management of our natural assets will ensure that they are taken care of, valued and utilized to support the communities they serve. We are excited to sponsor this program to help bring this important initiative to municipalities because we understand they play a pivotal role in climate resiliency,” said Glenn Minnis, Head of Operations at IPE.

"Healthy natural assets — like forests and wetlands — provide clean air, clean water, mitigate floods, and many critical services we rely on every day,” said Roy Brooke, Executive Director at NAI. “With climate resilience a priority across Canadian communities, the support from IPE to expand our program means more local governments will understand, manage, and rely on nature and its invaluable services as part of their climate and sustainable development goals."
